Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Hydrivity (“we”, “our”, the “app”) is built to help you track your daily water intake. We take your privacy seriously and keep things as simple and private as possible. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
The short version
Hydrivity is designed to work without an account. Your hydration data — the drinks you log, your goals, streaks and achievements — is stored on your device. If you have iCloud Backup switched on for your iPhone, that data may be included in your device’s normal Apple backup, which stays in your own private iCloud account. We do not sell your data, and we don’t require you to hand over personal details to use the app.
Information we handle
- Hydration data you create — the amounts and times you log, your daily goal, history, streaks and unlocked achievements. This stays on your device.
- iCloud Backup (optional, an Apple feature) — if you have iCloud Backup enabled in your iPhone Settings, your device backup may include Hydrivity’s data as part of your normal iPhone backup. This backup is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted and managed by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms. Hydrivity does not sync your data to any server we control, and we cannot see or access it.
- Apple Health (optional) — if you grant permission, Hydrivity can read or write water intake to Apple Health. You control this in Settings and can revoke it at any time.
- Notifications (optional) — if you enable reminders, your device schedules them locally.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal data.
- We don’t require you to create an account or provide your name or email to use the app.
- We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Analytics & crash reporting
We may use Apple’s privacy-preserving, aggregated App Analytics and crash reports to understand how the app is performing and to fix bugs. This information is provided by Apple in aggregate and does not identify you personally. You can opt out by disabling “Share With App Developers” in your device’s Privacy settings.
Website analytics
This website (hydrivity.com) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. We run it in “consent mode” with all storage denied by default — meaning no analytics cookies are set unless you explicitly consent, and by default Google only receives aggregated, cookieless signals. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie preferences.
Children’s privacy
Hydrivity is a general-audience hydration app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can delete your logged data within the app at any time, revoke Apple Health or notification permissions in your device Settings, and remove all app data by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
